Get Paid to Answer Text Messages and DMs
Your phone buzzes all day with people who want a bit of your time: a friend of a friend, a follower, a former client. Send them one link instead. They pay your price, you reply when it suits you.
You set the price · Paid before you reply
The texts that eat your evenings
"Got 5 minutes?"
It is never five minutes. A short text turns into a voice note, then a call, then a follow-up next week. None of it is on your calendar and none of it is paid.
DMs from people you have never met
Your number or handle gets passed around. Strangers open with "my cousin said you know about this" and expect the same help your friends get.
The guilt of leaving them on read
Ignoring messages feels rude. Answering all of them is impossible. Most people end up doing a bit of both and feeling bad about it.
From "quick question" to paid reply
Reply with your link
Save a short answer on your phone: "Happy to help, send it here." Paste your FastPass link. Add it to your bio too.
They pay, the money waits
The sender writes their message, pays your price and picks a deadline of 24, 48 or 72 hours. The payment is held in escrow.
Answer and get paid
The message lands in your email. Reply before the deadline and 75% is yours. Skip it and the sender is refunded automatically.
What "get paid to answer text messages" means here
Search for this phrase and you will find chat operator jobs and apps that pay a few cents per message. That is not what FastPass does. Nobody assigns you conversations and there is no quota to hit.
FastPass is for people who are already being messaged: a lawyer whose old classmates text for legal pointers, a recruiter whose DMs fill up with CV questions, a creator whose followers want a personal answer, a developer who keeps getting asked which laptop to buy. The demand exists. What is missing is a polite way to say that your time has a price.
Your FastPass link does that job for you. You do not have to negotiate in a text thread or send an awkward invoice. The person reads your price, decides whether the answer is worth it, and pays up front. If they do not want to pay, they have still received a friendly reply from you and you have lost nothing.
Moving the conversation off your phone helps in another way. Paid messages arrive in your email with the full question written out, so you are no longer piecing together context from five separate texts. You answer in one go, from the inbox you already use, and your number stays private.
The deadline protects both sides. The sender knows they will get an answer within the window they chose, or their money back. You know that once you reply, the payment is released to you through Stripe. Nobody is left waiting and wondering.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a texting job where I chat with strangers?
No. FastPass does not hand you conversations or pay you per text sent. It is for people who already receive more requests than they can answer for free. You set a price, and the people who want your reply pay it before they write to you.
Do people have to text me through FastPass?
They write their message on your FastPass page instead of in your texts or DMs. It reaches you by email, and you answer by replying to that email. Your phone number stays private, which is a nice side effect.
How much do I keep from each message?
You keep 75% of every paid message by default. If three creators you referred join FastPass, your share goes up to 85%. Payouts go to your bank account through Stripe.
What happens if I do not reply in time?
The sender picks a response window of 24, 48 or 72 hours when they pay. If you have not replied by the deadline, they get an automatic full refund. You never have to chase anyone or issue refunds by hand.
Can I limit how many paid messages I get?
Yes. By default FastPass accepts up to 5 paid messages per day for each creator, so a busy week never turns into a backlog you cannot clear.
